How is Breast Reduction Surgery Done?


Breast reduction surgery is planned according to expectations and breast structure of the patient. Surgery can take 3-5 hours depending on the procedures to be done. During surgery fat and saggy tissue is removed and breast is reduced to its ideal size. During surgery areola can also be reduced in size. Saggy tissues can be removed. Reversed T or vertical (a straight line) incisions can be made.

Does Breast Reduction Surgery Leave A Scar?


Because breast reduction is done surgically an incision mark can remain on the area. When vertical incisions are done a thin line reaching down from the nipple area. On reverse T shaped incisions, a faded T shaped scar may be apparent. Immediately after the surgery scarring may be dark and prominent but with time it gradually fades away and becomes invisible to the eye.
